Description
Afterwards being framed for the death of a CIA operative Jason Bourne is forced to use his skills as a former assassin to save himself.
Good enough to suggest long-term franchise potential,
The Bourne Supremacy
is a thriller fans will appreciate for its well-crafted suspense, and for its triumph of competence over logic (or lack thereof). Picking up where
The Bourne Identity
left off, the action begins when CIA assassin and partial amnesiac Jason Bourne (a role reprised together with efficient intensity by Matt Damon) is framed for a murder in Berlin, environment off a chain reaction of pursuits involving CIA handlers (led by Joan Allen and the duplicitous Brian Cox, together with Julia Stiles returning from the previous film) and a shadowy Russian oil magnate. The quick-paced action hurtles from India to Berlin, Moscow, and Italy, and as he did together with the critically acclaimed
Bloody Sunday
, director Paul Greengrass puts you right in the thick of it together with split-second editing (too much of it, actually) and a knack for well-sustained tension. It doesn't all do sense, and bears little resemblance to Robert Ludlum's novel, but together with Damon proving to be an appealingly unconventional action hero, there's plenty to look forward to.

Bourne movies always keep my attention
2010-08-19
By Shamontiel L. Vaughn (Chicago)
I'm not a big action movie buff, but every time one of the Bourne movies comes on, I stop what I'm doing to watch it. In "Bourne Identity," Jason Bourne was struggling to find out how he ended up in the water accident and in this film he wants to know just who he is. The problem is that the CIA is after him at the same time. They don't believe he really doesn't know as much as he seems to not know. But what both Bourne and the CIA do know is that regardless of whether he remembers the deal he made three years ago, his fighting and killing instincts have not left him. In "Bourne Identity," he was surprised at how much he knew about defending himself and plotting on ways to disappear. The average man just doesn't know how to safely land jumping from building to building and hopping over glass with just a T-shirt from a clothing line to protect him. But Jason Bourne (aka Dave Webb) does, and he wants to know what happened to him to make him this way. The CIA is after him and he's after the CIA. The only problem is he doesn't know the name of the person he wants to see when he reaches that person. Meanwhile two female agents don't like the way the Bourne mission is going. It's gone from legal to criminal, and agents are wondering whether these two ladies are fighting for or against him.
Although Jason Bourne should've been dead after all the car accidents and hopping from building to building without so much as an ankle sprain, the movie was still good. Was it realistic? For someone who knows how to fight and kills for a living, certainly he's going to have more strength than your everyday guy. But there were some running scenes that were over the top. That didn't stop me from enjoying the film though. I've enjoyed all three.

Wrong Purchase

I was sent the wrong movie. I was suppose to get the Bourne Ultimatum. Not worth sending back as it only cost a $1.99. Would have cost me more to send back than to give it away.
A great sequel

By Brian Nallick (Mpls, MN)
I finally got around to watching all three Bourne movie.
I loved the first one but I wasn't sure if the sequels would be as good.
My worries were for nothing.
A lot of franchises blow it with the sequels, that is not the case here.
Ok, short and sweet.
The good?
Everything.
Everything that was good about the first one is back and bigger for the sequel.
More action, more story, more twists.
Great acting.
Great direction.
Great story.
What was bad?
Really?
Nothing.
I'm thinking..........I can usually come up with at least one thing I didn't care for in a movie but I honestly can't here.
As far as the action/adventure/spy genre goes....
The Bourne movies are first rate experience from start to finish.
The Bourne Supremacy comes....
Highly Recommended.
